At The Dance Centre, we are a group of dance educators and choreographers with national and international experience in the performing arts. We possess a keen eye for proper technique and effective and sensitive methods for helping our students achieve their very best. The physical and emotional health of each and every dancer is of utmost importance, regardless of skill. We create an environment where all dancers feel equal, without competition, within the studio. Our classes are a safe place of physical and self-expression where the health of the dancer and child, as a whole, is paramount. Dancers leave each class feeling supported, joyful and energized; excited with what they have achieved.
We have proudly been running our studio since 1975 on the principle that non-competitive, sound, technical dance training, where dancers are developed within their physical and age-appropriate limits, is at the core of what it takes to become a gifted and accomplished dancer. Emphasis is on dance rather than tricks, beautifully coordinated steps and movement rather than poses, and proper technique to support a growing body.
